Eekay Epoxy Polyamide Red Oxide Primer
Eekay Epoxy Polyamide Red Oxide Primer is a two-component, red oxide based epoxy primer with very good corrosion resistance in mild to moderately corrosive atmospheric conditions. It gives 100% adhesion to the bare metal and treated surface. It is a suitable primer for almost all the topcoats including polyurethane, epoxy, vinyl, acrylic etc. It gives 100% adhesion to bare metals as well as treated surfaces.

| Clean Up | It is good working practice to periodically flush out spray equipment during the course of the working day. Frequency of cleaning will depend upon amount sprayed, temperature and elapsed time, including any delays. |

Direction to use
- Surface preparation and substrate condition should be dry and free from all contaminations, surface to be sufficiently roughened prior to priming.
- Surface temperature must be atleast 100 C and not more than 450C.
- Steel, abrasive blast clean to min Sa 21/2 Swedish method.
- Relative humidity should be below 80%
- Good ventilation is required to ensure proper curing
Mixing
- Eekay Epoxy Polyamide Red Oxide Zinc Chrome Primer is supplied in two packs. Stir the base and hardener separately. If settling is observed in the base or hardener, loosen the settled material with hand stirrer followed by power stirrer for quick homogenous mixing.
- Mix hardener gradually in to the base under continuous stirring as per the mixing ratio. Once the unit has been mixed it should be used with the pot life of 2 hours.
- Post use of unused base and hardener, close the lids tightly to avoid contact with atmospheric moister.
- Thinner if added should be after mixing the components and post the induction time.
- Addition of too much thinner will lead to reduced sag resistance.

Storage and Packing
- Store in cool and dry place.
- Store in accordance to local regulations.
- Packing will be made available in 1, 4 and 20 liters pack size.
Safety Information
- As a general measures, inhalation of solvent vapors, contact with eyes should be avoided.
- While application area should be well ventilated.
- In case of eye contact wash with plenty of clean water and take medical help if necessary.
- Use protective equipment’s like rubber / polyethylene gloves, safety goggles and face mask while handling the paint.
